“The worst illness of our time is that so many people have to suffer from never being loved.” – Princess Diana.
Reason for inspiration:
Despite having all the luxuries and comforts of the world that one could possibly imagine, the Princess traveled to many parts of the world to raise her voice and support for the suffering humanity. At a time when it was not the norm to sit and shake hands with people suffering from leprosy, Princess Diana set great example by intermingling with people suffering from various diseases. Despite the stigma associated with AIDS, Princess Diana regularly visited people affected with HIV and provided company and support. This sowed the seed in the society and the media to offer support, care and love to people who are pushed to corners because of their diagnosis. Her other prominent charity works included support for banning the landmines that could be a huge cause of injury especially to children.
